Heather

Born in Amsterdam Holland on the 24th of April 1944. The second child of Rose and Anton Brunott. Has a sister Anna three years her senior, also born in Amsterdam. Migrated to Australia with the family in 1956 and began Australian life first in Lillidale Victoria. There she attended the local high school for several months before moving to Upwey where the family finally settled in a newly purchased cottage in the Dandenong ranges. At Upwey High School, her studies were complicated by the need to fast track the local lingo. She learned to love the great outdoors in her teens and now spends any free hours tending a spacious garden in the bush setting at Gempark.

Rhododendrons and all manner of exotics fill Heathers Gempark garden.
